[xmppd-dev] jabberd14

Hello everyone,

I have started packaging jabberd14 1.6.1.1 because the maintainer hasn't
had time for it yet and I need to try it.  The S2S between luon.net and
amessage.* is too broken atm, e.g. I see people online but message to
them bounce while they can send me messsages, etc.  So, I need the new
server :)

* Name change

I am packaging jabberd14 now under the name jabberd14 instead of jabber
as the package used to be called.  I want jabber to become a
meta-package to install any of the free Jabber services available.  Now,
I've heard somewhere that it is going to be named xmppd (the mailinglist
address also points to this).  If so, I'd like to know when you plan to
change this?  If this is soon, I am not going through the whole
jabberd14 rename.

* Library install paths

jabberd14 contains a few libs that are actually components dynamically
loaded by the config (dialback, xdb_file, ...) and they are currently
installed in @libdir@ while they actually should go to @pkglibdir at .  
I have modified {dialback,dnssrv,...}/Makefile.am to do this, aswell as
Makefile.am:23 and jabber.xml.dist.in and have a patch for you if you
want.  I hope you can fix this in a new release.
